US DOC launches result of AD review on Korean plates

Reportedly, the US Department of Commerce (DOC) launched its final result for antidumping (AD) administrative review on the imports of cut-to-length carbon steel plates from Korea.

It's learned that 7 companies got involved in this case, covering the period from February 1st, 2011 through January 31st, 2012.

The US DOC determined a final dumping margin of 0% for Dongkuk Steel Mill, Samsung C&T Corp. and TCC Steel Corp.

Meanwhile, the US DOC determined that the remaining for companies including Daewoo International Corp.; Dongbu Steel Co., Ltd.; GS Global Corp.; and Hyundai Steel Co., Ltd had no entries of the subject products during the review period.

Also, the US DOC announced a countervailing duty rate on Korean cut-to-length carbon steel plate. The deposit rate for Dongkuk Steel Mill is at 0% and that for Samsung C&T and TCC Steel is 3.26%.
